Accuracy.Fun

A decentralized prediction market platform that enables users to bet on content creators, social media trends, viral content, and internet-driven phenomena. Built on SuperFluid, Accuracy.Fun provides a unique scoring mechanism to predict and bet on the success of digital content and creators.

Problem Statement

In the age of social media and the internet, events, trends, and behaviors shape public perception, influence decisions, and drive entire economies. Despite the significant impact of social media and internet-based activities, there is currently no prediction market that allows individuals to bet on Content creators. Social media trends, viral content, influencer popularity, internet-driven movements, and digital product launches are all unpredictable yet impactful.

There is an untapped opportunity to create a structured, decentralized prediction market platform that focuses on the internet and social media, where users can predict the outcomes of events such as:

  • Viral trends and meme propagation
  • Success or failure of social media campaigns
  • Influencer engagement metrics and follower growth
  • Outcomes of Internet-driven phenomena
  • Success of content releases, such as new music, videos, or product launches

Description

Prediction markets like Polymarket have skyrocketed in usage this year thanks to politics and sports betting. But what if there was a prediction market focused on social media and the internet arena?

We are building a platform over SuperFluid to facilitate you to bet on your favorite content creator and its growth. With our unique score calculation, you can predict what score he gains - this unique score will provide a more decentralized and trusted environment for the users to bet. By just predicting what score the creator gets you can bet your amount and earn your share from the pool amount if you strike it correctly.

User Flow

  1. Login into our Dapp using social logins - Farcaster, Google SignIn, or Wallet Connect
  2. Create your Avatar and add the cool username to your profile
  3. Explore the dedicated content creator betting pools (for now hosted by platform only)
  4. Click on the Content creator where you want to place a bet
  5. Score Prediction: You will see a scrollbar to score the post, if you predict more score means the post will go viral, and if you score fewer means the post will go down
  6. Time Validity: After adding Score, you can choose time validity from the category - 1 day, 7 days, 1 month, etc.
  7. Score Calculation: When the betting pool reaches the specified time, the score will be calculated at that point in the backend
  8. Winning: If it perfectly matches your prediction you're the winner!!! Don't worry if you're in the specified range of the actual score you still have a chance to earn!
  9. Rewards: If your score is in specified range according to your diversion you will get your rewards. And rest of the bets who are not able to make their bets correctly will be distributed in pools

Factors for Score Calculation

The score of a Content Creator is calculated based on the following factors:

  1. Views - Percentage change in views over the betting period
  2. Likes - Percentage change in likes over the betting period
  3. Subscribers/Followers - Percentage change in subscriber count over the betting period

These three factors are weighted and normalized to calculate the final score. See the detailed Score Mechanism documentation for the complete formula and calculation method.

Note: All factors contribute positively in deciding the score, except Subscriber numbers - it can also negatively affect the score if it gets reduced.
